Comments: It's only the first practice and yet the lap times posted from the top 14 are within a second. The pack is very close at this moment, even the track is still green. Looks like the cars are all evenly edged. Robert Kubica run he KERS for the first time in this session and will then decide to use KERS for this race in his race car. The Renaults are fitted with a temporary diffuser solution, which will probably aid the drivers round the twisty part of the circuit. McLarens-Mercedes are using a new aero-package car, which incorporate the rear diffuser with their new triple deck front wing design. This reap rewards as for Lewis Hamilton topped this time sheet, above Jenson Button. Still too close to have any good conclusion though...

Comments: After the second practice, the usual diffusers team were on the top of the time sheet. However, after all these several rounds of practices, it's common to find the RBR-Renault amongst the top of the time sheets. The cars, designed by Adrain Newey, seems to pay off, despite not having diffusers or KERS! However, one thing to note, Adrain Newey's cars are generally suffer more technical problems, due to his on the edge design, which is on the limits. Lap times, in general, improved as more rubbers are laid onto the track
